Unlike common metal bangles, these glass bangles are the same found in India used for weddings, parties and other social events. Now you can wear them everywhere. We always pack extras to offset any breakage. As your collection grows you can mix and match sets to make new sets. Wear a few bangles or the whole set. Break up the set and wear on both arms, its up to you. Each color set contains 8 pieces. Bangles are hand-made in India and/or Pakistan. Made of glass.Some breakage is expected. Being the proud owner of almost 60 of these amazingly beautiful bangles, I feel that I can now provide a detailed review of them- as well as Beachcombers. I got my first set in June 2010, I found them on Amazon. I was heading to Orlando, so opted to check the store out instead of ordering online. I wondered about the true color, quality, and general feel of the bangles. I had never worn glass before and was concerned that they would be too delicate. First off, I was enchanted both with the shop, and with the owner Jodi. The shop is small, but so packed with beautiful things that my closet "girl" self wanted to squeal with delight!
I thought that I would need the larger size (2.12), as have total man hands. Jodi grabbed some lotion, slathered up my hand and told me to flutter my fingers and let my hand go limp. She slid on a couple of different sizes and we discovered that I needed the smaller size (2.10). She patiently showed me how to properly put them on and remove them- LOTION, GROUPS OF 2-4 AND A LOOSE HAND IS THE KEY!!!!!!
I picked out loads of them and headed home. I put them on once without the lotion and cracked one. I broke several over the next month - due to being clumsy. Now that I have gotten used to them, it is actually very easy to deal with them. They go on and off very fast with the lotion. I learned not to wear more than 24 or so at a time (12-20 looks best I think) too many more, and they ride low on the wrist or high on the arm and you are more at risk to hit them on table edges and things of that nature. I absolutly think that they are an everyday sort of thing. In fact, I wore mine for a week in the ocean. I didn't have any breakage at all. I even went hiking up to a lighthouse and it's surrounding hills in them with no problems.
The tinkling sound that the glass bangles makes it magical! They don't have the dull ting of the metal ones or the thud of wood. They are the perfect accent for whatever I choose to wear! You can mix and match them to make loads of different sets that will look great everytime! I get comments on them almost everywhere I go. My friends love them so much, we got 6 more sets to give as gifts!
Give them a try - you won't be disappointed - IF YOU FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!
I recommend going with at least a black, silver and copper- then add in your fav colors. There will be no limit to the amazing sets you can make! Use your imagination and you will be shaking your arms all the time just for that sound!

I have broken 4 of them already in 2 days. One fell off the counter onto the carpet and shattered, they are that fragile. Keep in mind these bracelets are made of very thin glass, and if you are wearing one when it breaks IT WILL CUT YOU. They are very very pretty, maybe for a special occasion, but definitely NOT for everyday wear.

I think that this a good cheap way to buy bangels. But they do kind of break easily. You just need to be handel them the right way and then they won't break.

I love inexpensive bangle bracelets and these are relatively cheap but they are of poor quality. It doesn't take much to break them and if you do you better be careful because you could cut yourself!
